Recently I finished my Master Studies (Cognitive and Integrative Systems Neuroscience) at the University of Marburg. My work was based on basic mechanisms of fear during acquisition and extinction, measured in behaviour, skin conductance, fMRI and EEG. In my Master thesis I explored the applicability of an fMRI based fear conditioning and extinction paradigm for the use in EEG investigations. Beyond this work, the developed paradigm found use in simultaneous fMRI-EEG experiments.
In the future, I wish to deepen my knowledge of fear conditioning, but also to expand it. Therefore I am specifically interested in the pharmacological manipulations that are planned throughout my PhD project in the working group of Dr. Jan Haaker, Medical- Center Eppendorf.
